Polyhexia ("the Game") is a mobile application developed by Cory [Placeholder for Future Studio Name] ("Developer", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, where it is stored, and your choices regarding your account data.

By creating an account or playing the Game, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect and Receive

We only collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide secure account login, manage your persistent virtual dice inventory, and operate the cloud-based Auction House.

A. Data You Provide Directly (Account Setup)

  • Email Address: Collected via Firebase Auth solely to verify your identity, secure your account, and facilitate password resets.
  • Username & Unique Player Tag: You choose a custom display name, and our system generates a unique 8-digit numeric identifier (e.g., #20936269) to identify you in the virtual marketplace.

B. Game Progression & Economy Data (Automated Storage)

To ensure your game state is saved securely in the cloud, our database tracks your gameplay statistics, including:

  • Progression State: Player level, experience points (XP), prestige rank, and zone/dungeon unlock progress.
  • Health & Combat State: Current hit points (HP) and timestamps used to calculate offline health regeneration.
  • Inventory & Currencies: Quantities of virtual gold, premium pips, virtual polyhedral dice collections, potion counts, reward boxes, dungeon keys, and in-game tools.
  • In-App Purchase (IAP) Flags: Non-financial markers indicating if you have purchased add-ons, such as specific avatar packs or the option to disable advertisements.
  • Moderation Records: System flags tracking account warnings, temporary mutes, or ban statuses to ensure a fair playing environment.

2. Where Data is Stored and Processed

  • Cloud Storage (Authoritative Source): All user account profiles, progression details, and Auction House data are securely stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Auth). Data handled by Firebase is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
  • Local Device Storage (Cache): A subset of your progression data, settings, and dice inventory is mirrored locally on your Android device within the application's secure data directory (user://). This local cache ensures performance stability and offline access, syncing directly to the cloud authoritative database during active gameplay sessions.

3. Data We DO NOT Collect

We believe in strict data minimization. The Game explicitly does not access, collect, or monitor:

  • Your real-world legal name.
  • Precise location data or GPS tracking.
  • Device identifiers such as your phone's IMEI or Android ID.
  • Your device's camera, microphone, contacts, or address book.
  • Real-world financial or billing data. (All in-app purchases are handled securely and directly by the Google Play Store; financial card numbers or billing addresses never touch our code or servers).

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party cloud infrastructure components strictly to run the backend operations of the Game:

  • Google Firebase (Auth & Firestore): Provides our secure login services, database architecture, and network hosting.
  • Google Play Billing Service: Manages all microtransactions and premium currency purchases safely.

5. Children's Privacy

The Game is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information (such as an email address), we will take immediate steps to delete this data permanently from our servers.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion Rights

You retain complete control over your personal data. You may request the permanent deletion of your account data at any time through the options provided within the Game's settings menu.

When you execute an account deletion command, our system triggers a complete purge:
  1. Your player document containing your items, dice, and progress is permanently erased from the Firestore database.
  2. Your unique username and 8-digit player tag reservations are deleted and released.
  3. Your login credentials (email address and account record) are completely purged from the Firebase Authentication system.
  4. Local save data cached on your mobile device is wiped.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our gameplay features or cloud mechanics. Any updates will be published directly to this page with an updated "Last Updated" timestamp. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
